The batik designs are based on themes and fashion-based mood boards. The effects we use are crushed, roller, brush, pen, and multi-colored designs.
Batik printing is the age-old process of resist-printing on fabric using wax as a resist agent. Batik is done on natural fabrics and extremely fine designs are made on fabric using tjanting tools. The wax prevents the penetration of the dye color on the designed area. Molten wax at a certain temperature (maintained at 200-230 degrees Celsius) is carefully put on the design lines with a batik dipper pen. After that, boiling water tubs are used to melt the wax and the fabric is washed in water multiple times. For a multiple color effect, wax is repeatedly applied.
